We are looking for a Grant Accountant to join our mission-driven team. Our organization is a leader in the nonprofit sector, recognized for its impactful work in social services and community development, with a strong track record of securing and managing multi-million-dollar grants over the past few years.
Oversee financial management for 90+ grants and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and submit grant invoices, financial reports, and journal entries.
Maintain adherence to government and foundation funding requirements (e.g., NYC/NY State agencies).
Respond to inquiries from funders and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
Support funder desk audits and assist with special financial reporting projects.
Manage budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and allocation processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
2–3+ years of grant accounting experience, preferably with NYC/NY State funders (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements).
Familiarity with PASSPort, HHS Accelerator, or Grants Gateway (a plus).
Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance (preferred).
Full-time, hybrid role (2–3 days in-office, remote Fridays with early close at 3 PM).
Competitive salary range: $65K–$75K (up to $80K for exceptional candidates).
Temp-to-perm option available ($28–$35/hr during contract phase).
