Job Description : In this role, you will work closely with the Radio Frequency (RF) laboratory teams for managing and executing projects related to the testing and certification of wireless and RF-enabled products. Working within UL Solutions’ safety science community, this role ensures customer products comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards. The RF Team will lead projects, develop test plans, interpret test data, and communicate directly with customers to guide them through the certification process.
Pay and Shift Information :
Work Times : Shift – 1st shift 7 : 30AM-4 : 30PM
Days per week : Up to 5 Days
Hourly Pay : $21 / hr for new hires and $23 / hr for returning
Responsibilities : Conduct a variety of manual and automated tests on RF products and sub-assemblies using specialized test equipment to verify they meet performance and quality standards.
Set up, configure, and calibrate RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
Work with engineers to analyze test data, identify performance deviations, and pinpoint root causes of failures.
Maintain detailed, accurate records of test results, procedures, and findings.
Assist with the general maintenance and organization of the RF lab, including managing inventory and keeping test stations and equipment clean and orderly.
Follow documented test procedures and engineering instructions precisely to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and customers regarding test status, issues, and deadlines.
Qualifications : Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis : (1- US Citizen; 2- Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder); 3-OPT (Optional Practical Training) or 4. CPT (Curricular Practical Training).
An incoming freshman or higher level college student studying any field (Engineer preferred, but not required).
At least 18 years of age at the time of application.
No experience needed, we will provide on-the-job training.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work onsite in Fremont, CA and engage with colleagues in person; relocation without financial assistance may be required if not already onsite.
