Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for managing the pipeline of potential customers and partnering with them to complete their orders & coordinate installation of garage doors, openers, and other related products & systems. This role ensures that all necessary information is obtained and shared with all appropriate parties (customers, internal departments, installation team, contractors, etc.). Join us in delivering excellence every day.

Duties

  • Gather necessary information from customers / contractors and provide job estimates.
  • Expected to achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Generate new leads and follow up with potential leads.
  • Meet with customers onsite to provide them with product information and project plans.
  • Working with Purchasing team to ensure all materials are ordered accurately and in time for installation.
  • Clearly communicate with technicians and other team members regarding upcoming and ongoing installation / service jobs.
  • Provide customers / contractors with the appropriate forms and documents to prepare for installation.
  • Act as liaison between customer and contractor as needed.
  • Attend Home shows, networking events, and other company events as needed.
  • Travel through assigned territory to site-check customer residential / commercial properties.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales role.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience doing in-home sales consultations.
  • Previous experience with residential door and access products or similar skilled trade.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, blueprints, electrical, and / or hand tools.
  • Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Teamwork centric mindset with a collaborative attitude towards achieving department and company goals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Work Conditions

  • Climate-controlled office environment with continual sitting & use of computer.
  • Exposure to weather and temperature elements while performing jobsite site checks and in-home consultations.
