Sterile Supply Technician Lead-Certified | Sterile Processing | Variable | Full Time

Overview

Works proactively with CSS staff, CDC and OR Staff to provide a high level of customer service with quality products. Provides sterile processing team with guidance in all aspects of departmental functions. Must have strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of industry standards with TJC, AAMI, ICP and ACHA. Computer skills are required. Ability to operate multiple types of equipment including, but not limited to, sterilizers, washers, cart washers, steris 1 and sonic cleaners.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent. Must have sterile processing certification or obtain certification within one year of employment. CNA, PCA or medical background preferred with 2 years experience in CSS or operating room.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation :

Employees in this position :

Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose

NOTE : A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his / her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his / her job.
