In our one-on-one ABA therapy sessions, you will work hands-on with children aged 18 months to 8 years using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques, all in a supportive, center-based environment. Your Responsibilities as a Behavioral Support Specialist :
- Implement ABA principles : Provide one-on-one support to children with Autism by following their treatment plans, collecting data, writing notes for insurance, and applying supervisor feedback during observation sessions.
- Encourage child development : Engage children in early childhood through enjoyable therapeutic activities tailored to their interests.
- Work collaboratively : Team up with colleagues to enhance treatment, ensure safety, and create a fulfilling work atmosphere at the center.
- Engage through play : Connect with children via playful activities, which may include running, dancing, singing fun songs, reading books, or playing games. Maintain the energy and enthusiasm needed to create a joyful experience.
- Communicate effectively : Positively interact with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate accomplishments, and advocate for children's needs.
Requirements :
Physical capability : Lift and move children in a dynamic environment, including the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, and move quickly to stay engaged with young children, maintain a tidy workspace, and ensure safety.Maintain a therapeutic environment : Keep play areas tidy, organized, and stimulating for children's enjoyment.Multitasking skills : Balance multiple activities or discussions while prioritizing safety for all involved.Team-oriented approach : Support collaborative efforts at the center, which may include travel to nearby centers when assigned.Transportation : Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.Education : Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by finishing a 40-hour training curriculum, passing a hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and successfully completing the board's exam.

Associates / High School : $15.50 - $23.50Bachelors : $16.50 - $25.50Masters : $17.50 - $27.00For entry-level candidates, your first raise is earned upon RBT certification, typically within 21 days.
Experience in these areas is a plus :
