We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer - Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Las Vegas office. This position will work on-site. Relocation assistance is available!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting; prior floodplain modeling work experience in Douglas County is a preferable.
- Researches jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
- Oversees production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation
- Performs data management and prepare exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS desirable.
- Works as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Mentors EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice
- Conducts site visits and document findings.
- Writes and coordinates preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
