Position Summary :
The Prep Cook (AM / PM) is responsible for ensuring the kitchen is ready for service by preparing ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the culinary arts who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Ingredient Preparation :
- Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
Recipe Execution :
Follow standardized recipes and plating guides.Assist with making sauces, dressings, marinades, and other prep tasks as directed.Kitchen Support :
Restock prep stations during service as needed.Ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with health and safety regulations.Cleanliness and Organization :
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and storage areas.Collaboration :
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and leadership to ensure smooth operations.Support line cooks and chefs during service as required.Qualifications :
Prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required.Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations.Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.What We Offer :
