Litigation Attorney

The Law Offices of Dunham, Ramirez & Van has an immediate need for a full-time on-site Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate should have some experience doing trials and 3 or more years of experience in civil litigation (specifically PI), including law and motion work. Our attorneys have support from a separate team of pre-litigation case managers, as well as assistance from dedicated paralegals and legal assistants in the litigation department.

• Qualifications :
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with CA State Bar
• 3+ years of PI litigation experience
• Ability to manage litigation cases and take them to trial if needed
• ABOTA membership is a plus
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word / Adobe Acrobat, including advanced formatting and PDF editing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Responsibilities :
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, meet-and confers on discovery issues, motions and memoranda of law
• Write mediation briefs and perform legal research
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel for settlements
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process
• Trial preparation and participation, and ability to develop trial strategy
• Will be handling no more than 10 cases at a time

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
