Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital  in Wexford, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service while assisting with access control and supporting hospital operations. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related matters as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related risks, or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and granting entry to authorized individuals as required.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately in daily reports and logs.
  • Provide assistance during emergency situations, following established protocols and coordinating with medical staff and first responders as necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Vaccinations required for hospital environment.
  • Ability to work in areas including the hospital morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
