SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Security Patrol Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the community. This position requires vigilant observation and the ability to report incidents effectively while enforcing property rules and regulations. The Officer will collaborate with property management and law enforcement when necessary to maintain a secure environment for all residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor and report property activity, documenting incidents such as use of force, law enforcement interactions, guest injuries, and property damage.
  • Keep a daily log that records patrol activities, guest interactions, policy violations, safety issues, light surveys, vacancy inspections, and other pertinent information.
  • Respond to management communications regarding operational changes and service updates.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as needed.
  • Adhere to all security protocols and procedures diligently.
  • Participate in required ongoing training sessions.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Possess a security belt, handcuffs, flashlight, and pepper spray.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of security experience.
  • No felony convictions or outstanding warrants.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout each shift.
  • Capability to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Engage in regular face-to-face interactions with clients and residents.
  • Capacity to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
