Cloud Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a government contractor in Fort Meade, MD. This role requires the candidate to report onsite 3x a week and have an active Secret Clearance

Essential Duties of theCloud Engineer:

• Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools
• Act as trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice
• Recommend and implement industry standards
• Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines

Qualifications of theCloud Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree preferred and 5+ years of relevant experience with DevSecOps
• 3+ years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience with application and operating system security
• 3+ years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus
• 3+ years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment
• Active Secret security clearance required

Compensation for theCloud Engineer:

• $160,000 - $190,000 (based on experience)
