[job_card.job_description]Delivering group and / or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines as assigned by classroom teacher or building administrator. Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Models conversation manners cleanup activities listening skills etc. for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social and interpersonal behavior. Monitors students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Reports incidents (e.g. fights suspected child abuse suspected substance abuse etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the personal safety of students providing a positive learning environment and adhering to Education Code and school policies. Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and / or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution. Working under limited supervision using standardized practices and / or methods. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Move around a classroom frequently. Allocation of movement are generally 10% sitting 45% walking and 45% standing. Perform some lifting carrying reaching pushing and pulling. Speak and hear in a noise environment with numerous conversations and activities May occasionally be outside for short and long periods of time to perform tasks such as class instruction supervising recess and loading / unloading students. The FulltimeDistrict Substitute teacher ensures students receive quality instruction to achieve the learning objective during a teachers absence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate
- Missouri Teacher Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of state standards federal and state regulations and law
- Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction
- Ability to relate to students staff and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to :
