We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in a contract to hire format. It is a 2nd shift position in Chesapeake, VA.

Position Summary :

• Load tools in machine that have been pre-set in tool room.
• Load program in machine control.
• Take test cut and measure before finish machining.
• Adjust machine settings, according to blueprints, if necessary.
• Check and change tooling.
• Adjust speeds and feeds as needed.
• Must be able to run conventional machines as well with proficiency.
• Must have the ability to make and edit programs without programmer assistance.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil, filter and coolant levels, removal of chips from machine.

Experience

Compensation :

$25 / hr to $30 / hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
