As a Grocery Shift Leader , you’ll play a key role in driving daily operations, maintaining product freshness, and leading a team dedicated to creating an exceptional shopping experience. You’ll inspire others, keep the department organized and well-stocked, and help ensure every customer leaves with a smile.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and motivate team members in the daily operation of the grocery department.
- Maintain stocked, organized, and well-merchandised aisles to Meijer standards.
- Oversee product ordering, receiving, rotation, and dating policies to ensure freshness.
- Assign and monitor daily tasks to support productivity and exceptional service.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve department goals.
- Partner with leadership on scheduling, customer engagement, and sales improvement.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive team culture aligned with Meijer’s values.
- Operate powered equipment or assist at checkout when needed.
- Participate in period-end inventory and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Support cross-training and serve as a leader in other departments when needed.
