Photography Intern

TrackTown USA is seeking a Photography Intern as part of its 2026 Content Internship program to help advance TrackTown USAs mission to make Eugene Oregon the premier track and field destination in the world.

TrackTown USA Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to setting a standard of excellence in hosting premier track and field events creating a supportive environment for elite athletic performances being a leader in sustainable sport practices and inspiring the next generation of track and field athletes and fans. The organization was responsible for organizing the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships theand 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland and theand 2024 U.S. Olympic Team TrialsTrack & partnership with USA Track & Field the organization brought the 2022 World Athletics Championships to the United States for the first time. TrackTown delivers the Wanda Diamond Leagues recurring Prefontaine Classic recognized as one of the worlds best track and field meets.

In 2026 TrackTown USA looks forward to once again hosting The Prefontaine Classic as well as welcoming the world to Oregon for the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Chief Content Officer and the positions respective mentor the Content Intern cohort will aid in the coordination and execution of all assigned projects and event coverage with primary objectives dedicated to increasing reach brand awareness and online audience engagement. This position requires in-person attendance in Eugene Oregon for all noted events from April 1 2026 until August 15 2026.

Content Intern : Photography (1)

o Play a key role in brainstorming and developing photo-based content for website email and social media distribution

o Provide photo coverage of all TTUSA events as outlined below

o Be available to assist at all TTUSA events as outlined below

o Implement guidance and feedback provided by mentor Howard Lao freelance photographer and TrackTown USAs lead event photographer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work accurately and effectively on tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience with and / or commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment
• Willing and able to work extended hours including nights weekends holidays and academic breaks as needed including all TrackTown events as required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when the need arises
• Passionate about the advancement of the sport of track & field
• Strong organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Lightroom
• Must be a college student enrolled at an accredited university

TIME REQUIREMENTS

Willing and able to complete the following time requirements. All event coverage will take place in Eugene .
