Overview

Manages unit-based patient care services; including personnel and fiscal management and development of programs and services. Participates in department and hospital performance improvement activities. Provides family centered patient care that is based in scientific theory and is outcome focused.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management.
• Comprehensive unit management and development of programs and services.
• Participates in department and organization performance improvement activities.
• Fiscal management and accountability.
• Actively participates and provides leadership for education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.
• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient / family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
• Staff works 7 days / week to include weekends and holidays, availability should be flexible

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $46.13 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
