Product Business Analyst
As the Product Business Analyst, you will support underwriting operations, product development, and system implementation initiatives across commercial niche lines. You will serve as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring that system solutions effectively meet business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support commercial niche underwriting, systems, and product initiatives, driving implementation and improvement projects.
- Collaborate with internal partners to design new policy forms, rating rules, endorsements, policy declarations, quote proposals, and rating worksheets for new products and system updates.
- Identify and analyze business system needs related to project and production support; develop solutions through process improvement, impact analysis, and operational planning aimed at system enhancement.
- Apply strong business and systems knowledge to collect, document, and manage requirements that inform business solution design.
- Support the business unit with various system related tasks including system upgrade implementation and change management.
- Evaluate competing priorities, risks, costs, and benefits to recommend the most effective course of action.
- Partner with technology teams to translate business needs into functional system solutions, including participation in system testing and quality assurance.
- Support product development and compliance by managing system changes, documenting business requirements, and recommending process or product enhancements.
- Lead implementation efforts, developing and delivering communications, documentation, and training materials to internal and external stakeholders related to product and system changes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field of study preferred but not required.Five years of product research and development or underwriting required.Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Insurance Institute of America (IIA) or other related industry designation desired.Experience with Guidewire technology and cloud migration preferred.SmartComm or form system development beneficial.Broad knowledge of common terms, practices, processes and regulations in the P&C insurance industry.Ability to convey clear & concise information to others utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills.Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong customer service orientation.Organizational skills and ability to manage large work volume and meet tight deadlines.Compensation
$85,000 - $105,000 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
