ELS is hiring for the position of Operations Associate in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Position Title: Marina Operations Associate
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Department: Marina Operations
Status: Full-Time (Weekends & Holidays Required)

Position Overview:
The Marina Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting the smooth daily operations of Loggerhead Marina. This hybrid position combines customer service, light administrative support, and dockhand responsibilities. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent working outdoors on the docks and in the Florida sun, so candidates must be comfortable and physically capable of working in a marine environment and variable weather conditions.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced waterfront setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day marina operations including vessel arrivals, slip assignments, and customer inquiries
  
• Deliver exceptional hospitality to slip holders, transient guests, and contractors both in person and over the phone
  
• Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, and basic communication tasks
  
• Perform hands-on dockhand duties: assist with docking/undocking, fuel services, pump-outs, and dock maintenance
  
• Conduct regular inspections of docks, slips, safety equipment, and marina facilities to ensure cleanliness and readiness
  
• Enforce marina rules, policies, and safety procedures with professionalism and courtesy
  
• Assist with ship store duties: customer sales, restocking, and basic merchandising
  
• Coordinate vendor deliveries, scheduled maintenance, and repair services
  
• Participate in marina events, boat shows, and seasonal community activities
  
• Maintain accurate operational logs and incident reports
  

Qualifications:

• Prior marina, hospitality, retail, or boating experience is a plus, but not required
  
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on and around docks and vessels
  
• Comfortable working outside in heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions
  
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong customer service orientation with a professional, team-player attitude
  
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email; familiarity with Dockmaster or similar marina software is helpful)
  
• Valid driver's license required
  

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, 5 full days per week with two consecutive days off
  
• Weekend and holiday availability is required
