Description
Mazak Corporation is looking for an Electrical & Mechanical Options Assembler to join Manufacturing Team. As an Electrical & Mechanical Options Assembler, you are responsible for the installation, integration, and verification of electrical and mechanical options on new machines prior to release. This role ensures all customer-specified options are installed correctly, function as intended, and meet quality and safety standards before shipment. Reporting through Manufacturing leadership, you support Assembly, Engineering, and Quality Control by executing disciplined option installs, validating functionality, and escalating issues when deviations or conflicts are identified. This position is critical to delivering complete, reliable machines while protecting schedule, quality, and customer confidence.
Scope and Responsibilities :
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Install electrical and mechanical options on new machines per prints, schematics, and work instructions
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints related to machine options
- Route, terminate, and secure wiring and components in accordance with standards and safety requirements
- Install mechanical components, brackets, assemblies, and hardware associated with machine options
- Verify proper operation of installed options through functional checks and basic testing
- Use multimeters, indicators, and precision measuring tools to confirm correct installation and functionality
- Identify and correct installation issues related to fit, wiring, or component interaction
- Perform limited troubleshooting when installed options do not function as intended
- Escalate design conflicts, missing documentation, or recurring issues to Engineering and supervision
- Ensure all installed options meet quality, safety, and workmanship standards
- Document completion, issues, and corrections per established processes
- Support Quality Control inspections related to option functionality and installation accuracy
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas during option installation activities
- Follow all electrical safety practices, lockout procedures, and applicable codes
Education / Certification :
Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology preferredDemonstrated experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsWorking knowledge of wiring practices, electrical components, and mechanical assembly methodsExperience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measuring devicesManufacturing or machine-build experience strongly preferredSkills :
