[job_card.job_description]Work in the ICU / CCU unit of a critical access hospital 4-bed ICU with a 1 : 2 nurse-to-patient ratio on all shifts Night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) with every other weekend required Floating to other units within scope as needed Cerner charting system is used; prior Cerner experience preferred No on-call responsibilities ICU RNs will provide care for critically ill patients with multi-system issues and complex medication needs Chronic and acute renal failure management is a routine part of the caseload Team members are expected to prioritize infection control and safety practices The hospital is a Magnet facility and provides free parking with a permit provided at orientation Solid-color scrubs of any color are required First-time travelers are accepted Scheduling requests should be discussed with the manager; RTO ideally should not exceed 5 days Active Illinois RN license required to apply Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG IV insulin protocol, chronic / acute renal failure care, and advanced IV therapy skills (arterial lines, blood product administration, central / PICC line, starting IVs) Proficiency with continuous IV paralytics, sedation, emergency medications, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Respiratory management skills including BiPAP / CPAP, chest tubes, ventilators, ABGs, and high-flow nasal cannula Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and surgical wound care including wound vac High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
