Proposal Management at Rise8

At Rise8, we are dedicated to driving growth and success by securing vital government contracts. Proposal Management plays a critical role in achieving this by crafting compelling proposals that resonate with our clients and align with their needs. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading the proposal process, from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring that every submission is not only compliant but also persuasive and impactful.

At Rise8, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging their expertise to create proposals that stand out in a competitive landscape.

As a Proposal Manager at Rise8, you will lead the proposal process for government contracts, ensuring that all submissions are timely, compliant, and of the highest quality. You'll work closely with our Growth team to align proposal efforts with strategic objectives and identify new business opportunities. Your role will also involve maintaining and updating proposal templates and libraries, conducting post-submission reviews, and staying abreast of industry trends to continuously improve our proposal processes.

In addition to managing individual proposals, you will be a key contributor to the broader proposal management strategy, helping to refine our processes and elevate the quality of our submissions across the board.

Qualifications

  • 3-6+ years of experience in proposal management, writing, or a related field.
  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process, including scheduling, coordination, compliance checks, and final delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously. Familiarity with the proposal lifecycle, including capture management, RFP / RFI analysis, and compliance.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness. Experience in developing technical and non-technical content for proposals, including executive summaries, technical volumes, and past performance.
  • Understanding of growth and sales strategies, with the ability to align proposal efforts with broader business objectives. Experience in market research and competitive analysis to inform proposal strategies and positioning.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines under pressure. Proficiency in managing resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high-quality proposals. Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in supporting growth administration and coordination efforts, aligning proposal activities with broader business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to facilitate meetings, including proposal kick-offs, reviews, and debriefs, ensuring all contributors are aligned and informed.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Government Contracting Experience : Previous experience in managing proposals for government contracts, with a strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance standards, and federal acquisition regulations.
  • Leadership : Proven ability to lead and mentor junior proposal team members.
  • Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with industry-specific technical requirements and standards, enhancing the ability to craft tailored, compliant proposals
  • Salary

    The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $115,688 - $144,611 regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.

    Benefits

  • Flexible schedule in a 100% distributed workforce
  • Premium Insurance : We cover up to 100% of the employee premium and up to 80% of the combined dependent premium on our base health plan, depending on pay band. We also cover 100% of the premium for employee and dependent Dental and Vision as well as employee premiums for Life and Disability coverage.
  • Retirement : 401k match at 10% gross pay.
  • Paid time off (PTO) : 4 weeks combined accrued vacation and sick leave, 11 Federal holidays, your birthday, jury duty, and bereavement.
  • Education & Training : Accrued budget of up to $3,500 per year for classes, travel, events, and materials.
  • Home Office and Merch : We offer $750 per year for home office technology and equipment as well as $100 per year for Rise8 merch from our Swag Store.
  • Wellness Budget : To encourage and support a well-rounded healthy lifestyle, we cover 100% reimbursement on a variety of wellness activities and products, up to $500 per calendar year. Or Rise8 is part of the the Life Time Corporate Partner program. In lieu of your $500 annual wellness benefit, you can instead get a $75 monthly credit towards a Life Time membership ($900 annual benefit).
  • Equipment : We offer a MacBook Pro
  • All of Rise8's work in this area is with Federal Government customers that require our employees involved with their projects be U.S. citizens. As such, this role requires U.S. citizenship. If hired, you would also be required to go through a background investigation.
