Extrusion Process Technician Bedford Park HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a self-motivated solutions oriented Process Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Bedford Park IL.

The Process Technician is responsible for working with shift Operators and Process Engineer to resolve ongoing problems supporting set-up and changeovers in bringing lines into production and working to maintain accurate and up-to-date process sheets. Communicates information clearly and accurately to best sustain process improvements and the resolution of process interruptions. Leads efforts on the production floor to develop improved process capabilities by reviewing data contributing to programs looking at new technologies and leading a team of skilled Operators.

Position Responsibilities :

The Hourly Process Tech will guide the overall teams mission in productivity safety quality operations continuous improvement and team effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Technical Knowledge :

Process expert in the areas of sheet extrusion forming and trimming of thermoformed products.

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and applications.

Ability to operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment.

Demonstrates knowledge of company specific product material and / or production technological methods and procedures and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities.

Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities.

Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and efficiently identify appropriate course of action through leverage problem solving activities.

Located 16 miles south west of Chicago Bedford Park is a village in Cook County Illinois. The population was 580 at the 2010 census. Bedford Park consists of a small residential area and vast amounts of heavy industry sprawling to the east and a small amount to the west.

The plant was built in 1987 manufactures portion cups lids coffee lids and cold cup lids and has approximately 250 employees.
