Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead Project Engineers through new and existing programs from kickoff to production launch. This role owns execution—making sure customer requirements, quality standards, timelines, and internal coordination are handled right the first time.
If you’ve led engineers, understand manufacturing realities, and can hold teams and suppliers accountable, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead and oversee all Project Engineers across new and existing programs
Step in and perform Project Engineer duties when required
Own projects from concept through production launch
Serve as the primary technical communication point with customers and suppliers
Review and approve all engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure milestones are met and clearly communicated using GANTT charts, APQP, and progress reports
Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets
Ensure compliance with MMI’s QMS and EMS systems
Oversee PPAP and engineering documentation including :
PFMEA, FMEA, Control Plans
MSA, GR&R, SPC
Ensure Quality and Production teams fully understand requirements prior to release
Review tooling designs for compliance with internal and customer specifications
Review part drawings and CAD models for feasibility, manufacturability, and quality
Support escalation of delivery, quality, or commercial risks to leadership when needed
Additional Responsibilities
Review training needs and resource requirements across departments
Review Project Engineer meeting minutes and follow up on action items
Enforce compliance with :
Company policies and procedures
Health & Safety regulations
IATF 16949 : 2016
ISO 14001 : 2015
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Master’s Degree preferred, not required
Proven engineering leadership experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in : MS Office
MS Project
SolidWorks and / or Spinfire (preferred)
Experience with gauge design and fixtures
Solid understanding of plastic injection molding processes
Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
