Job Summary :
This position provides support to the City University Counseling Center and training program within the Master of Counseling Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create advertisements and monitor social media posts (Facebook and Instagram) for the Counseling Center, including publicizing newly offered groups, community resources, and student mental health / outreach events for current students and alumni.
- Conduct and report needs assessments of the center. Find potential resources to address the needs.
- Review and compile data related to surveys and screenings for services at the counseling center.
- Assist in planning internship fairs, capstone symposiums, and social justice activities sponsored by the center.
- Update the current student interns on the counseling center sites.
- Update the Clinic Manual, Orientation to the Clinic, newly acquired resources, and onboarding of EHR.
- Assist in organizing and documenting Town Halls.
- Responsible for submitting signed paper timesheet to Financial Aid and entering hours in Work Day on a bi-weekly basis
Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications :
Must be a CityU domestic student enrolled in a degree program, preferably within the Masters of Counseling Program.Must be approved for federal work-study funds through City University of Seattle's financial aid program.Must demonstrate a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving ability.Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize work, multi-task, and adjust to changing workloads and deadlines.Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student, staff, and faculty populations.Proficiency with MS Office products.Must complete the majority of work-study hours in person with an assigned supervisor or document weekly check-ins with a supervisor.Additional Information :
Hours : 10 hours / week. Hours can be negotiated.
Salary : $20.76 / hour
