JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide technical engineering expertise to a specific project and provide assistance in the preparation of estimates; measure and calculate quantities of work put in place for payment and provide input for the cost accounting system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist with technical information for project & construction management to ensure construction work complies with all construction standards, codes and specifications
• Assist with Project Submittals, Submittal Acquisition form Subcontractors, and Review Incoming submittals prior to transmitting to the Owner / Engineer
• Coordinating with Owner and Engineer Representatives during the course of the project
• Allocate cost codes to the appropriate field operations and track / maintain quantities to verify subcontractor / supplier billing
• Track and compile of materials, equipment, and labor for any / all change orders and field orders
• Provide technical assistance with project scheduling; prepare 3-week look ahead schedule and updates for monthly project schedule submissions
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports during the course of the project
• Assist project management in all job aspects
• Coordinate with Survey as required to facilitate the construction
• Work with Safety Department to analyze potential job hazards and prepare plan to eliminate risks
• Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project), and construction management tools.
