Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Operations Manager on behalf of our growing client in Downey, CA. This full-time, onsite position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled operational leader to drive efficiency, oversee cross-functional teams, and support the continued growth of an established and thriving organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Operations Manager will oversee all daily operations, team management, and process improvement across the firm’s drafting, estimating, and project coordination functions. This leader will ensure operational excellence, streamline workflows, and provide hands-on support to a talented technical team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about quality, structure, and team development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and within scope.
• Supervise and develop a cross-functional team including project management, estimating, drafting, and quality assurance staff.
• Implement and optimize internal systems, workflows, and training programs.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and operational metrics to support organizational goals.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities and process improvements.
• Maintain accountability for overall operational performance, quality, and client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Background in operations management within the drafting, engineering, or construction industries.
• Proficiency in Revit (or similar software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and manage multiple priorities.
• Civil Engineering or Architecture license a strong plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time, onsite position in Downey, CA, offering a salary range of $85,000–$105,000+ depending on experience, along with comprehensive medical and dental benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic and expanding organization.
