Location : 4000 Cambridge Ave, Kansas City, KS 66160

Class / Area : MRI Technologist

Desired Start Date : ASAP

Rate : $$ per hour

Length of Assignment : 14 weeks

Hours per Week : 40

Shift and Time : 1900-0730, Wednesday to Friday

Schedule Details : 12-hour nights

Weekend Rotation : None

On-call Requirements : Not required, but available if interested. The facility is staffed 24 / 7, and on-call shifts cover overnight during the week and 24 hours on weekends to address shortages due to unexpected absences.

Holidays Requirements : Based on unit needs

Floating Requirements : Bell and Cambridge locations

Experience Required : 1-2 years of MRI technologist experience

Experience Preferred : Experience with Siemens and / or GE equipment, Epic experience, anesthesia and pacemaker MRIs experience

License Required : ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Certificates Required : BLS (Basic Life Support)

Responsibilities :

• Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, specifically Siemens and GE systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records.
• Assist with the administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients with pacemakers during MRI procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including those related to radiation protection and infection control.
• Provide patient education and address any concerns or questions regarding the MRI process.
