Position : Events and Sales Assistant

Location : Metairie, LA

Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Events and Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the organization and execution of various events, such as conferences, trade shows, and corporate gatherings. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that events run smoothly while also serving as a vital support to the sales team in reaching their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of events including logistics, scheduling, and on-site support.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials for events.
  • Maintain and update the events calendar, providing timely information to stakeholders regarding upcoming events.
  • Support the sales team by preparing sales presentations, brochures, and other promotional materials.
  • Manage customer databases and assist in lead generation and follow-up communications.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and industry trends to support sales initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning or sales support.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
