Position Summary

The Buyer Planner is responsible for procuring finished goods and components as well as supporting services if applicable, needed to support customer orders by collaborating with the Director, Supply Chain and Logistics to strategically plan inventory levels, evaluate suppliers and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards; essentially balancing supply and demand to meet customer requirements. This is a Hybrid position reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.

What You Will Do

• Monitor inventory levels at all domestic internal and 3PL locations.
• Create and issue direct and indirect purchase orders.
• Manage and review purchase order status and performance from vendors.
• Expedite and reschedule purchase orders as required to maintain inventory targets.
• Participate in supplier audits and cost saving activities.
• Monitor and report on vendor performance.
• Collaborate with logistics team on pickup, transit and delivery of vendor goods.
• Utilize ERP systems to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics.
• Monitor and initiate transfer orders to keep site specific inventory levels optimally balanced.

Compensation

$70,000 to $75,000 determined by competitive market analysis and internal equity considerations. Final compensation will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and business needs.
