Emergency Room RN Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract

End Date : March 30, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio

Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current CPR certification (BLS)

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience; emergency room (ER) experience preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills

Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and make independent decisions in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Excellent organizational skills

Must reside at least 50 miles from Lancaster, OH to qualify as a travel nurse

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process in the emergency department

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and support to individuals experiencing urgent medical needs

Educate patients and families throughout the admission, treatment, and discharge process

Accurately document all nursing care and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Administer medications and perform clinical treatments safely and efficiently

Implement physician orders and promptly communicate any changes in patient status

Ensure availability of emergency equipment and supplies; report malfunctions as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and delegate tasks appropriately

Maintain a safe, clean, and positive emergency room work environment
