Fun & Friendship Volunteer - Childcare Support

Make a meaningful impact in your community by supporting adult English language learners and their families! As a Classroom Childcare Helper, you’ll create a safe, welcoming space where children can play and learn while their parents attend English classes nearby.

Volunteers engage children in simple, age-appropriate activities such as coloring, crafting, reading books, singing songs, and playing games. These activities not only help kids feel comfortable and cared for but also allow their parents to focus on learning English, knowing their children are in good hands.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for caring, patient individuals who enjoy working with children and believe in the power of education to strengthen families and communities. Volunteers work alongside staff or experienced helpers and are provided with materials, activity ideas, and guidance. No formal childcare experience is required—just a positive attitude and a willingness to help.

Commitment:

We’re looking for volunteers who are available one or two mornings per week, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am -11:30 am or 12:30-3:30 pm.
