About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary engineering team. This role involves leading electrical design and consulting work across a variety of innovative and technically challenging building services projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with strong communication skills and a passion for sustainability and client collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Design
- Provide expert electrical engineering design and technical solutions for building services systems.
- Lead detailed electrical design work, including calculations and performance evaluations.
- Prepare technical specifications, schedules, and design development reports.
- Produce high-quality deliverables including presentations, drawings, and models.
Client & Project Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and project teams.
- Represent the organization in meetings with clients and external partners.
- Support business development by contributing technical insight and proposals.
Project & Team Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate design input using tools like Revit and other analysis software.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence.
Technical Reporting & Sustainability
- Conduct condition surveys, system diagnostics, and technical audits.
- Develop strategic reports and plans to present to clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate awareness and application of sustainable design practices in electrical engineering.
Who You Are — Core Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience in building services or related fields.
Technical Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and building services design.
- Experience with Revit and familiarity with electrical analysis/design software.
- Capable of problem-solving complex technical challenges and proposing multiple solutions.
Professional Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
Preferred Credentials (if applicable)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or equivalent.
- LEED AP or sustainability credentials.
- Experience across diverse sectors (e.g., higher education, commercial, cultural institutions, transportation).
