In this role, you will be responsible for leading an organization of onsite and remote employees focused on identifying, developing, and accelerating breakthrough programs that harness next-gen technologies, novel business models, and transformative capabilities. Scope of the role includes opportunity creation, bid and execution as well as IR&D execution. This is not a typical program management role. You'll be leading an organization focused on incubator-style efforts with the mindset of a startup and the reach of the RTX enterprise. The Emerging Capabilities organization partners with our Engineering Advanced Technology Center to deliver these innovative capabilities.

We're seeking a dynamic leader with a strong mix of strategic vision, technical fluency, financial acumen and the grit to lead complex initiatives with clarity and confidence. We're looking for someone who has led complex technical development programs before and who has a deep understanding of technical, schedule, cost and risk management in the Science & Technology space. Familiarity, past execution experience, and existing relationships with DARPA, AFRL, ONR, DIU and SCO are highly desired.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and / or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
