Trauma Surgery physician job in North Carolina :

Locums Asheville, North Carolina, Trauma Surgery Opening

Dates Needed : January 1, 2026 March 31, 2026

Schedule & Clinical Details

Day shift : 7 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM (10.5 hours)

Night shift : 5 : 30 PM 7 : 00 AM (13.5 hours)

Nights, weekends, and holidays required

24-hour shifts available but not required

Approximately 14 shifts per month

Patients per day : 35, shared among covering providers

Procedures & Skills Required

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Tube thoracostomy

Central venous catheter placement

Arterial line placement preferred

Support Staff & Facility Info

Trauma coverage includes : attending surgeons, APPs, residents, trauma nurse leads

EMR : Cerner Power Chart

Trauma department details : ICU, floor, ED coverage with appropriate staffing

Requirements

Board Certified in Trauma Surgery Required

Active NC License Required

Active NC DEA Required
