Job Summary
This position will collaboratively offer support and guidance to students that come into the Early Outreach Office. Job duties will include:
- Connects students to the campus and support resources that increase retention and success.
- Will act as the first point of contact, greet visitors, answer the phone, monitor/respond to office emails, and provide relevant information and assistance regarding the Early Outreach programs and other campus resources.
- Will handle records processing activities, and data entry of information into reports, databases, etc.
- Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, student success/access, and appreciation of diversity and inclusion.
Additional Information
In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.
- FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
- FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
- FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
- The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a GateWay Community College student registered for 6 or more credit hours and received financial aid eligibility.
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills
- Experience working with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office & Google Suite, and internet application
- Bilingual desired but not required
