CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT

FCI Manchester. Manchester, KY

Pay : $23.47 per hour

You support the Adult in Custody population at FCI Manchester. You work Monday to Friday between 7 : 30 AM and 3 : 00 PM. A normal day equals seven hours. You average 35 hours per week.

You need

  • Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant program
  • Training in dental radiology and safety
  • CPR from AHA or Red Cross
  • Two years of experience
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Experience in a correctional setting preferred

    • You handle

  • Chairside assistance in restorative, oral surgery, prosthetics, and exams
  • Preparing instruments, materials, and supplies
  • Passing instruments and supporting the Dental Officer
  • Preparing rooms and records
  • Escorting AICs and tracking care
  • Radiographs using standard and digital systems
  • Prophylaxis, charting, and preventive tasks
  • Infection control and equipment upkeep
