Principal AI Architect - Agentic Verticals

What you can expect

As a Principal AI Architect specializing in Agentic AI, you will design and oversee the development of intelligent agent systems for various industry verticals as part of Zoom AI Companion (AIC). Your architectural vision will directly shape the Zoom user experience through the creation of scalable, robust frameworks and system designs.

You will establish technical standards for implementing novel algorithms that impact workplace efficiency and customer engagement across Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA), Zoom Customer Experience (ZCX), and Zoom Virtual Agent (ZVA).

About the Team

We are part of the Zoom AI Vertical Organization, dedicated to enhancing the Zoom user experience in workplace and customer interactions. Our team of experts is focused on creating the next generation of AI technologies for customer verticals like healthcare, finance, retail and sales, education, etc.

As an AI Architect, you will guide the technical direction of systems that understand, learn, and adapt to improve user engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Designing comprehensive system architectures for vertical Agentic AI applications, establishing technical standards, patterns, and best practices for autonomous agents.
• Developing reference architectures and integration frameworks for AI solutions that enhance meeting experiences and enable seamless human‑machine natural interactions within Zoom.
• Architecting scalable systems leveraging large language models (LLM) and Agentic AI frameworks for production environments.
• Leading cross‑functional technical initiatives to ensure successful integration of Agentic AI solutions into Zoom’s ecosystem, balancing innovation with practical implementation requirements.
• Providing technical mentorship and architectural guidance to development teams and junior architects.

What we’re looking for

Salary Range or On Target Earnings

Minimum : $206,600.00

Maximum : $451,800.00

In addition to the base salary and / or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note : Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
