Non-exempt $17 - $22 Hr DOE Full Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

Assessing incoming request for proposals (RFPs) to determine if the Project and ACS are a good fit.

Prepare takeoffs and estimates for Precast Concrete, Cast Stone, Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) project.

Communicate with customers to get clarifications on exactly how they want us to estimate their projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review plans, specifications, and occasionally 3-D models to gain an understanding of the scope of work for each project.

Using digital estimating tools to prepare detailed and accurate takeoff.

Using company guidelines and input from supervisor, prepare a detailed cost estimate along with project specific notes to pass on to sales department.

Review project schedule to determine when our product is needed on the job site and escalate our pricing based on company guidelines.

Coordinate with our vendors and subcontractors to get pricing necessary to compete our estimate and understand material leadtimes and availability.

Prepare more detailed cost breakdowns as might be required by our client.

With supervisor, develop value engineering, suggestions, and options to present to our clients when the need arises.

Ensure estimates are prepared in a timely fashion and can be delivered in advance of our clients bid date.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic confidence in MS office (Word, Excel, email)

Strong verbal (English), written (English), and basic math skills (+, -,

• , %, fractions)

Detail oriented, meticulous, and analytical

Ability to multitask and maintain focus

Preference will be given to candidates with some previous experience with estimating and blueprint reading. Previous experience is not mandatory as ACS will train someone with the right attitude, is motivated, willing to learn, and to be challenged.

Ability to work occasional overtime as needed to ensure that our proposals get out on time.
