Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY: Responsible or troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production.
• Performs scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary.
• Emergency repairs of equipment may alter break and lunch times, however, break and lunch times will be given.
• Thorough preventive maintenance checks will be performed on a routine schedule.
• Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Comply with ISO guidelines, OSHA Safety and Health regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a self-directed environment efficiently
• Attention to detail
• Good organization skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
• Willingness to learn and keep up with current technologies
• Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights
• Good basic math skills
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus
