CMM Quality Technician

About the Role

The CMM Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and analysis. This position supports continuous improvement efforts by maintaining accurate documentation, investigating defects, and collaborating across departments to uphold safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct inspections, grading, and sorting of incoming materials and finished products
• Perform plant audits and verify product conformance with specifications
• Measure cast, extruded, rolled, and machined products
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain Optical Emissions Spectrometers
• Maintain inspection logs and generate non-conformance reports
• Monitor and manage the calibration system for measurement tools
• Investigate defective products and assist with corrective actions
• Conduct Rockwell Hardness Testing as required
• Generate Certificates of Analysis and Conformance
• Prepare products for shipment, especially for Level III and Level IV orders
• Conduct quality system audits and participate in measurement studies
• Maintain and audit 6S program within the QC lab
• Read and interpret government and industry specifications and engineering drawings
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of third-party components
• Maintain controlled documents and test records
• Communicate quality trends to supervisors or management
• Be available to assist other departments as needed
• Adhere to and promote safety and environmental compliance standards
• 2nd Shift Position
