About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Job.com to find a qualified OR RN in Edwards, Colorado, 81632!

Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique. Combines knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies in the performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, functioning with working knowledge of AORN standards .

Maintains and checks all sterile items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicator if present, and expiration dates. Monitors the sterile field for events that may contaminate and initiates or notifies of need for corrective action under supervision.

Ensures that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety . Works towards competency or is competent with Tier 1 surgical cases.

Requirements

Experience : Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and / or Licensed Surgical Technologist program.

License(s) : Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado required.

Certification(s) : Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.

Computer / Typing : Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
