Job Description

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Bloomfield, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a prominent financial institution location. Your role involves managing access, greeting guests, and responding to inquiries, all while helping to deter security-related incidents through a consistent and visible presence. You will utilize your customer service skills and attention to detail as you contribute to a welcoming and secure environment. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to deter unwanted activity within the location.
  • Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification, and issuing visitor badges as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of security-related activities and incidents observed at the front desk.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Operate access control systems and / or surveillance equipment as required by site-specific policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
