Position : GIS Analyst Database Migration & ESRI Roads & Highways SupportScope of the Project
The project involves migrating an existing Oracle Spatial database maintained through GeoMedia to a SQL database maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways (on-premise) . Work includes full database conversion , software upgrade , and ensuring seamless transition of GIS datasets and workflows.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality digital and hard-copy maps using advanced GIS and mapping applications.
- Perform GIS data collection, editing, maintenance, and spatial analysis .
- Update database tables to reflect changes in GIS features used for analysis and mapping tasks.
- Conduct quality control / quality assurance (QA / QC) on new and existing datasets to maintain accuracy and spatial integrity.
- Assist with the creation and ongoing maintenance of procedure manuals and documentation .
- Conduct software and workflow research / testing as assigned by management.
- Perform other GIS-related tasks as required by the supervisor or project manager.
