Job Description

The experienced Staff Accountant will be a hands-on accounting professional who handles daily tasks and deploys critical thinking skills to make recommendations that improve the workings of the accounting department.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Prepares bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Runs the daily posting process in the company software
  • Processes and analyzes all wire postings for vendors
  • Captures daily PayPal payments
  • Approves wires in banking application
  • Complies and shares daily sales numbers for all independent customers
  • Posts quarterly royalty entries into AP
  • Processes inventory reconciliations and adjustments
  • Reviews the backorder report and missing inventory report and investigates errors and prepares adjustments accordingly
  • Reviews and distributes corporate credit card reports and posts all bills
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a MUST
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

    • Education and Experience :

  • College degree in accounting, or related field, required
  • Three to five years of accounting experience required
  • THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE IN NORWALK, CT 5 DAYS / WEEK
