AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineer to join our Kansas City Water Resources team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Overland Park, KS .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

• Prepares assigned sections of reports working under the close review of an experienced professional.

• Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.

• Performs engineering calculations

• Develops hydrologic and hydraulic models using industry-standard programs such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.

• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE : 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field

• EDUCATION : Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university

• SPECIAL SKILLS :

  Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

  Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  Experience with ArcGIS Pro (preferred).

  Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.

  Capability to develop technical writings and reports.

• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS : E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred)
