Introduction
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is looking to hire an intern who is interested in working with the Chief of Staff and Director of Legislative Affairs conducting research, drafting legislative proposals, assisting with legislatively mandated commissions and committees, and helping with researching and writing legislative reports.
This may include working with executive leadership in crafting legislation by conducting research and helping with drafting legislative language. This position will work with employees and contractors to help respond to legislatively mandated reports, including conducting research, proofreading content, and writing language for reports.
Applicant would work with DoIT employees and contractors who have a need for policy research or writing. As a Legislative Affairs intern, you will also be responsible for assisting DoIT staff in the administrative and research efforts related to staffing the committees and commissions run by DoIT. All projects and content will be in alignment with the Department’s overall legislative strategy.

Education :
The student must be a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior. Candidate must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and provide a transcript if contacted. Candidate must be able to work 20 hours per week.
