It is the responsibility of the Mortgage Loan Officer to handle all functions of originating a loan. Origination Requirements include developing application sources, working independently, completing loan applications, and monitoring lock expiration dates for closing and delivery. Other Banking Requirements include calling on Burke & Herbert Bank branches, generating new leads, and maintaining lending compliance. Closed Loan Requirements expect a minimum closed loan volume of $1,000,000 per month after 60 days. Skills / Abilities include communicating well with the public, analyzing credit information, and ensuring data integrity. Education and Experience require a college degree, at least one year of mortgage loan sales, and an active NMLS number. This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standard Act, with a 100% commission-based compensation. This role has no supervisory responsibilities and operates in a clerical office setting with standard office equipment. Physical Demands include manual dexterity and the ability to lift files and open cabinets. Travel may be required for this position.
