Job Details

A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Neuro ICU / Intensive Care Unit RN's for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility. To learn more about this opportunity contact Medical Solutions.

Job Requirements

Must have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility

Must hold an active ACLS & BLS

Must have an active AZ license or compact

MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXP

MUST HAVE EVD EXPERIENCE

Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance

No first time travelers

Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience

Schedule Information

12hr / 7-7. May be placed on Standby for a scheduled shift

Day 1 PASS / FAIL SIMs Lab requirements

2 weekends per 4 weeks

2 out of 3 major holidays

Unit Specific Information

Charge Nurse does not take patients

Floating : Required to float between all ICU floors, and all Tele Units

Floor specific orientation : 2 shifts on the floor

Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Any patient that would qualify for critical care with a neuro diagnosis

Hospital does cranis, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries and scoliosis repair

Travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills

In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care
