Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee key accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department. Responsibilities :

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Prepare and distribute invoices, while maintaining accurate billing records.

Perform account reconciliations, including commissions and other financial data.

Assist in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reviewing general ledger accounts.

Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.

Create and maintain balance sheets and other financial statements.

Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including preparation of tax returns.

Handle sales tax reporting and filing processes.

Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting workflows and procedures.

Requirements :

At least 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Proficiency in corporate tax processes, including tax return preparation and compliance.

Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting.

Experience with creating and posting journal entries.

Familiarity with general ledger management and reconciliation.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Solid communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
