We are looking for an Student Intern to work with our Property Team. This will be a hybrid role based in Chicago, Illinois.

Allianz Commercial (AzC) specializes in corporate property insurance for the most complex and challenging risk exposures in more than 200 countries and territories. With a focus on larger international risk portfolios, we offer tailor-made 'All Risks' property damage and business interruption insurance through our Allianz Commercial Property network.

When it comes to underwriting insurance products for well-known famous sports venues, sports / entertainment facilities, major airlines, retail / wholesale companies, banks and manufacturers, we do it all!

The  Student Intern , under the direction of the Commercial Property Underwriting Leader, will gain an in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry. The Intern will receive on the job training and given the opportunity to work on meaningful assignments.

Key functions will include but not limited to :

Develop an understanding of the insurance industry from multiple facets.

Achieve a proficiency in the technical and professional. skills / knowledge of the assigned position (on the job training)

Collaborate on projects as assigned and the opportunity to develop an understanding of the insurance industry.

Opportunity to develop business relationships with insurance brokers, reinsurers and directly with client partners.

Other duties that will support business strategies.

Qualifications :

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Knowledgeable and proficient with the Microsoft Professional products in addition to Internet search capabilities.

Previous customer service work experience a plus.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Your communication style is flexible to the situation. You communicate clearly and with a purpose.

Calm under pressure. You have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks. You are comfortable challenging norms while working collaboratively with colleagues.

Natural curiosity. You love learning how things work and you are always looking for innovative improvements.

You are open minded, looking for the best result. You treat team members with respect and value their contributions. You are inclusive, committed to working together to achieve common goals.

Demonstrated ability to achieve results by setting goals, prioritizing tasks and staying accountable to stakeholders.

Additional Company Details : The company offers a pay rate of $24 per hour for this internship. This is a Full time 10 week Summer Internship which will begin in early June 2026. Additional Requirements : Competencies :
